On 23 August 2016, the Poland-Kazakhstan Economic Forum was held in Warsaw. The meeting of Polish and Kazakhstani business was opened by presidents of both countries, Mr. Andrzej Duda and Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The meeting was an opportunity to learn about the expectations of Kazakhstani economy for the industries which Kazakhstani business considers to be most promising in terms of cooperation. It was also a chance for Polish businesses to find out more about the investment climate guaranteed by the hosts to those who decide to invest in this vast country teeming with economic opportunity.
The Polish Cluster of Construction Exporters began working towards enabling Polish construction companies to join one of Kazakhstan’s largest construction projects, related to mining, chemical and electric power industry. The value of the project is ca. $37 billion. The works have already started, but the scope of works still to find their “owner” remains vast.
The Polish Cluster of Construction Exporters has taken steps to inspire all relevant institutions to assist Polish construction companies in winning potential contracts in that project.
