On 6-7 September, a delegation of representatives of the Polish Cluster OF Construction Exporters participated in an economic mission to Astana, Kazakhstan. The participants took part in the Poland-Kazakhstan Forum, attended by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Other attendees to the Forum included representatives of the highest state authorities of Poland and Kazakhstan and nearly 200 entrepreneurs from Poland and Kazakhstan representing industries such as renewable energy sources, food, chemical and construction.
The main theme of Expo Astana 2017 was “Future Energy”, and therefore the Polish Cluster of Construction Exporters helped organise one of the thematic modules “Regional Cooperation and Infrastructure Development” to present the potentials of the Polish regions and Kazakhstan, as well as experiences and references of the Cluster companies in the field of ecological construction, clearly in demand in Kazakhstan. The module was moderated by Ms. Agnieszka Wasilewska-Semail, President of the Board of Rafako S.A. The mission was attended by representatives of Cluster member companies, Rafako SA and SEEN Holding Sp. z o.o.
After the official part and thematic sections of the Forum, B2B meeting sessions for entrepreneurs from Poland and Kazakhstan were held.
On the second day of the mission, 7 September, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda with wife and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev attended ceremonies and visited the Polish Pavilion.
