During the second edition of the Unibep SA Polish-Swedish Business Gala, the company from Bielsko-Biała Podlaskie was awarded the Mercurius statuette. The ceremony took place on 2 February 2018 at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm. “It is a great honour to us, but also a great challenge.
We are glad that we are on the Swedish market and that this is another country where we can build our innovative multi-family buildings made in modular technology”, said Leszek Gołąbiecki, President of the Board of Unibep SA during the meeting. Apart from the company from Bielsko, LOT Polish Airlines received an honourable mention from the Team awarding Mercurius, an award granted to companies of merit for Polish business in Sweden.
The ceremony was attended by about 100 people. They were mainly representatives of the Swedish administration, business organizations, entrepreneurs, including developers and heads of construction companies, and the media. Both Unibep SA and LOT Polish Airlines presented their companies’ profiles of operations and their plans for the Swedish market.
“We were the first company from Poland to win a public tender for a framework contract. Having signed a 3-year contract with AB Botkyrkabyggen for modular construction, the Tumba project is our first we implement as a General Contractor in Sweden”, says Leszek Gołąbiecki. “As part of this project, we have built 58 turnkey flats in four buildings. The work was carried out efficiently, timely and in accordance with the contract and procedures. The cooperation with the public partner was very good”.
