Budimex operates not only in Poland but also in foreign markets. The Company is gradually increasing its involvement in the facility management sector (servicing real estate and infrastructure facilities) and in waste management. Since 1995 the company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and since 2011 it has been included in the RESPECT index, encompassing the most responsible listed companies. Its strategic investor is a Spanish company with a global reach – Ferrovial. The group of Polish companies consists of Budimex Nieruchomości, Mostostal Kraków, and Elektromontaż Poznań SA.
Budimex is one of the signatories of the Agreement for Safety in Construction – an initiative established in 2010, which brought together the largest general contractors in Poland in order to raise the level of occupational safety in the construction industry.
